Welcome to Tech Index. My name is Hassan Jan; I am a Computer Science student at NUST Islamabad and the founder of this project.

The Story Behind the “Index”

For years, I’ve been the “tech guy” for my friends, family, and neighbors. Whether it was calibrating a laptop screen, fixing a PC bottleneck, or explaining how to use a new app, I saw a recurring pattern: people weren’t stuck because the technology was too hard, but because it wasn’t explained in a way that made sense for them.

Even with the dawn of AI, many are intimidated by the sheer number of new tools and apps coming out each week. I created Tech Index to curate, simplify, and index the most useful parts of modern technology—turning confusion into productivity.

Expertise & Testing Process

I am a self-taught Frontend Developer and a student of the MERN stack with one year of hands-on experience in Web Development. I don’t just write about tech; I build with it. My daily workflow involves Hugo, GoTemplate, React, and Node.js, and I am a power user of modern AI models like Gemini, Claude, and DeepSeek.

To ensure that every tutorial on this site actually works, we follow a strict Verification Protocol:

  • Multi-Platform Testing: Every guide is individually tested on my Windows Laptop, Linux PC, and Android devices. I also utilize macOS and iOS environments for cross-platform accuracy to ensure our solutions work for everyone.
  • Expert Review: I am not flying solo. While I handle the research and coding, our more technical articles are reviewed for accuracy by a small circle of friends and—most importantly—my mentors and teachers.
  • AI-Assisted, Human-Verified: While AI is a powerful tool for research and drafting, every single word is reviewed, edited, and verified by me or my team to ensure technical accuracy and quality.

Why a “.shop” Domain?

You might wonder why a tech blog uses a .shop extension. The answer is simple: I am a student building this project as economically as possible. I took the most affordable path to get this information online because, at the end of the day, it is the value of the content that matters more than the letters at the end of the URL.

Mission Statement

Tech Index is built for:

  • Tech Enthusiasts looking for hidden apps and utilities that the rest of the world has not yet noticed.

Even if this site only helps ten people solve a problem they were stuck on, I consider it a success.
